RAKAU. WOOD. BALANCE. ESSENCE.

Wooden works by Paolo Angelini. Rigorous geometry and natural imperfection, composed by hand in Italy.

Enter the world of RAKAU

A world made of wood.

Every RAKAU work is born from a deep dialogue between material and intention. Wood, time and hands meet to give shape to what is essential: harmony.

Geometries seeking balance.

Precise lines, symmetries, joints. Yet it is in natural imperfection that each piece reveals its uniqueness. Grain, knots, shades and contrasts that only nature can create become an integral part of the work.

Room ideas

Colour, matter, research.

Every choice of colour, every pairing, every detail tells of a continuous search for authentic beauty and material truth.

No piece is ever the same, because no tree ever was.
= wood

The origin of the name.

RAKAU comes from an ancient Polynesian language and means “wood”. A simple, powerful word that carries the memory of the earth, of roots and of real life.

THE WORKS.

Each work is one of a kind, signed and numbered. No piece is ever the same, because no tree ever was.

One RAKAU, three different spaces

Between order and nature.

RAKAU is the constant search for balance between rigorous geometry and natural imperfection. Between origin and transformation.

It is wood becoming art. It is my vision, my essence.

NO ORDER: wooden strips laid freely in a frame

The workshop.

Every work starts as a pencil drawing, takes shape strip by strip and leaves the workshop signed by Paolo.
