Privacy notice

This page explains how the personal data of visitors and of people who write through the site's forms are processed, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian privacy law.

Who processes your data

Data controller: Paolo Angelini, artist (artist name RAKAU), email info@rakaustudio.com.

What data and why

Requests from the forms. When you use "Your space" or "Bring this work home" I collect your name, email, phone (optional), city, your message and the photo of your wall, if you upload it. I use them only to reply, prepare proposals and quotes and, if you decide to buy, for delivery and payment. The legal basis is your request (pre-contractual measures and contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing the data is optional, but without a name and email I cannot reply.

Correspondence. If you write by email or Instagram I use your data only for the conversation you started.

Technical browsing data. For security the server logs technical data such as IP address, date and page requested (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are kept for a short time and are not used to identify you.

Visit statistics (only with your consent)

If you accept it in the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited to count visits in aggregate (pages viewed, country, device type). No advertising features, no profiling. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page. Google may also process data in the United States: the transfer is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Google has joined. Details in the cookie policy.

How long

Requests that do not lead to a purchase are deleted within 24 months of the last contact. Purchase data are kept as long as the law requires (for example 10 years for tax documents, where applicable). Wall photos are deleted when no longer needed for the project.

Who else sees the data

Your data are never sold or passed on. They are stored on the server hosting the site, managed by Mediaera as data processor; correspondence goes through the email service used by the controller. For a shipment, name and address are given to the courier; for an online payment, to the payment service used (for example Stripe).

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use, to receive it in a readable format and to object to processing (Articles 15-22 GDPR) by writing to info@rakaustudio.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

No automated decisions are made on the basis of your data.
